We live in an age where technology is so prevalent in our lives and more than ever, children from a young age are choosing to sit indoors playing computer games rather than getting outdoors and being active. This, coupled with poor diet, has sadly had an impact on the rise in childhood obesity. I wanted to write a light-hearted tale that gently touches on the importance of getting outside, of being active, of enjoying childhood as it should be, playing with friends and having fun.

And what about the feline hero? 

I absolutely love cats! In fact I have two Bengals of my own, and although cats love to laze, they are also more often than not outside racing around, chasing anything that moves. So, I thought it would be fun to centre the story around Fat Cat and his three wonderful friends.

I have also chosen to donate 10% of profit from sales of this book to the Neonatal Unit in Poole (Poole Hospital Charity) as a thank you for their incredible care when our twins were born extremely premature.
